Celebrating Our Brand

Aspire Health Alliance is the new name of South Shore Mental Health. We chose our new name to highlight our new mission, vision and values – who we are now and what we envision for our future – a world where there can be no health without mental health; it is integral to the well-being of the whole community. Our CEO, Antony Sheehan provides more information on our new brand.

Education & Training

Aspire Health Alliance is committed to the development and training of our future clinicians, to continued staff development and to robust community training around behavioral health. For example, since 1963, there has been an American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology in place at Aspire Health Alliance. Also recently, Aspire Health Alliance hosted a Mental Health First Aid training for first responders from around the South Shore.

Program Spotlight

Discovery Day Treatment is a life-changing, community-based group therapy program for adults with long-term mental health challenges. Designed to help those who struggle with social isolation and lack of daytime structure, Discovery helps its members find meaning, connection, and purpose in their lives. Art therapy is an important part of the therapy regime and client artwork is featured in the new Discovery 2019 calendar.

REACHING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Introduction to Aspire Health Alliance

Aspire Health Alliance, formerly South Shore Mental Health, is helping to pioneer a new approach to behavioral health across the lifespan providing a continuum of care that is proactive, coordinated, available through multiple access points and integrated with medical care. Our new name, Aspire Health Alliance, grew out of an enhanced mission and vision and values for the organization to highlight our belief that mental health is the foundation of a person’s overall health – as we say it, “No health without mental health.” Our mission and values at Aspire Health Alliance include working to make emotional well-being essential to overall health and fostering an environment that is safe and supportive and free of judgement or prejudice around mental health. To learn more about Aspire Health Alliance, hear from our very own CEO, Antony Sheehan and read his blog Lens on Leading: Notes from Antony.

To support this new identity, Aspire Health Alliance is rolling out its new name with this revamped website, designed in partnership with Gravoc. In addition to looking great with our new logo and color palate, the website is easier to navigate, gets you to the information you need with less clicking around the site, and has a design that is mobile device friendly. We look forward to your comments and suggestions!

LENS ON LEADING

Notes from Antony

Duncan Meets Aspire Health Alliance

Duncan almost met Aspire Health Alliance at a branding meeting. The problem was that his name was not Duncan. It was Dunkin’. When Dunkin’ Donuts announced they were rebranding and dropping the word Donuts, for some reason my brain thought they were changing their brand to Duncan.
